About Wildlife Care Association of Sacramento

Wildlife Care Association (WCA) is a non-profit, independent, volunteer-based association in Sacramento that is permitted by the California Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to care for wildlife.

Since its inception, Wildlife Care Association has been rescuing and rehabilitating wild animals that are dropped off by concerned citizens and public agencies. We currently receive more than six thousand animals each year and our work is entirely supported by your donations.

Wildlife Care Association, Inc. is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of local wildlife. WCA is committed to educating and instructing the community in the respect, appreciation, and care of local wildlife. WCA is pledged to the management and preservation of wildlife habitat.

We are excited to announce our partnership with Wildlife Care Association of Sacramento, in McClellan Park, CA.!

Please use the Pledge Form https://forms.gle/NM3uSF1GC2rkApvx7 to pledge how many items you will make. Once your items are done, please go back and update the form saying your items are complete. Once completed items are ready, you will receive an email with instructions on where to send your items.

Craft: Sew, crochet, knit

Need:

      • 15 pouches w/ 2-3 liners each - Fleece/Flannel Pouches - all sizes WITH Liners
      • 15 Fleece/Flannel Honeycomb Hammock (the layer like the video)
      • 15 Hanging Opossum Hammock
      • 15 Hanging Possum Palace or Pods
      • 15 Nests - ALL sizes including the many in one
      • 15 Flannel/soft cotton - Cuddle Cups
      • 10 Flannel Bat Wraps

Deadline:

      • As soon as possible as baby season has started

Patterns: Please note some patterns are written in cm and plys of yarn. Just convert cm to inches with Siri or Google and 2 strands or worsted weight will work. RHSS Caron One Pound are good options since they are sturdier. No baby yarns.

Other Instructions:

    • Animals who will use these items: Baby squirrels, Baby opossums other small mammals use them very frequently to keep warm and comfortable.
